Thanks :) actually the long one was the Bamboo, which hurt the most of all methods, The shoulder I had done in F. Polynesia was actually suprisingly quick and relatively pain..less (LOL what a stupid thing to say, we all know they hurt!). That was about a 2hour process and very spiritual and cultural...really cool. Im glad I decided to start being a tattoo hunter scuba diver in Thailand not PNG - not keen on the thorns idea. Im heading to Africa to dive next....ohh dear... :cool2:

2 weeks minimum, 3 weeks better. Also, coat with vaseline before first dive. (advice from a friend who is a tattoo artist)

Thanks! so, just vaseline or in combination with sunblock? :/

I dive w/o wetsuit, just boarding shorts. There really isnt a need in tropics unless its cavern/cave or wreck diving.

if your so cool and smart to get a tattoo ya shouldnt need any advice about it,:cool2: . Just kidding, kinda, but my mom would of said, "Honey, why in the Hell would you do something like that to your good looking body".
i hope you like it and it doesnt cause you any health problems.
Me, i wouldnt dive until it was healed , as in no trace of scabs or whatever.

Definitely lots of sunblock for the first few months. It'll help keep the colors from fading.

I have a lot of tattoos, 2 weeks is good to go. I dive a lot and have to plan my tattoos with my diving

I waited 3 weeks after I got this....I like them to be fully healed

I'm a Tattooer, I advise clients at least two weeks before you get enough sun on it to tan it and about the same for submerging it for long periods of time in any type of water. It's more often than not, totally healed at the two week period but if you have any little spots that aren't healed give it a little more time. If it were mine, I wouldn't put Vaseline over it once it's healed, there really isn't any point in it to me but, it won't hurt anything if you do. Healing tattoos is really not any different than healing any other mild abrasion, use common sense and you should be good to go. As long as it's not flaky and peeling and the skin looks smooth and healed go for it (with sunscreen).
