Does anyone know any effective Sun Dances? Cuz I'd LOVE to dive in Houston this weekend...

Jeff

What are we to do? Has anyone seen the latest weather reports for Saturday. I've gone to different web sites and I'm getting different reports. Local news web report says afternoon showers yet the weather channel web site says AM showers.

I suggest that we plan on Saturday, and if the weather isn't good then those that can dive on Easter do so.

Guys,

I'm in for Saturday. DiverG let's talk on the land line and make the arrangements.

Fetch, not a problem for me look forward to seeing you.=-)

Just viewed the WeatherChannel website and it indicated Strong Storms for Saturday.

What are we going to do?

The idea posted was to go ahead and make it a Sunday dive for those who still want to.

In fact, I'm gonna go ahead and wait 'til tomorrow to pick up my gear, since there's pretty much no chance of tomorrow being clear enough to dive.

Okay, if it's Sunday I will have to pass as it is Easter. I will be able to do something next weekend if anyones game!:(

Way kool, I'm not too far from Twin Lakes. I will dive there this summer. Maybe before I go to Mexico. I'll post a message a week or two before I go. Also, I need to figure out an itenerary of diving excursions.

WELL???!!! how was it? did you guys go? temp? vis? lifeforms???

I live in Houston and would love to go sometimes.

I have friends who were there last weekend. Surface temp was 72 degrees, thermocline at 15ft. was 53 degrees! Vis close to shore was about 5-6 ft. but farther out was closr to 15ft. Along the shoreline there is some underwater grasses growing which is where you'll find baby bass and turtles. Away from shore, there's a sandy bottom and not much life.

It was also reported that there were people fishing along the shorline. That's not good. Also, there have been several instances of water mocassins seen swimming the surface, sometimes close to divers.

We'll go again in another month or so after the owner has had time to get some of the planned improvements done. When I was there about 6 weeks ago, it was very basic with no ammenities except one sad porta-pottie.
