Hi, I'm a Hawaii high school teacher (science including the marine science classes). I'm not certified yet. I love snorkeling and poking around tide pools and plan to certify soon. :snorkel2:

Well get certified, what are you waiting for :) What a great thing to integrate into your classes. I manage to do this in my humanities classes. Maybe you can start a scuba club at your school.

Welcome to SB & good luck with your certification.

Welcome to the ScubaBoard community. I started my career as a high school teacher in the sciences. 70% of the students in my small school were certified divers and I conducted my advanced marine biology classes largely underwater.

Welcome to the board!

What an exciting place to live and be diving. You'll have to share all of your new experiences with us. :)

HaikuHonu,

Welcome aboard. I believe your students would greatly benefit from your experiences in snorkeling and diving. What an awesome way to link hobby and job.

welcome aboard
