The Kraken:
Well, I think I may have missed something.

Just downloaded the most recent revision and there is no calculation for the SAC anywhere that I can find.

the K

So do I.

But if you need bugs you won't even have to look for them.

I do feel like a beta tester of a pre-candidate realease.

CompuDude:
Any news about a Mac version, and the update for the Atom? I mentioned this to my buddy who has an Atom with a Mac, and he was very excited to hear about the prospects...
*bump*

Just stumbled along this thread while researching the software, anyone know the version of the most up to date software? I plan on ordering the cable since it seems like the software far exceeds the version i got when i bought my veo250. thank in advance!

CompuDude:

The next revision of the software will include the VT3 - a new 3 mix computer scheduled for release in the next month or two. The ATOM will follow with the release of the ATOM 2.0.

As for Mac - there are no current plans. We have obviously identified a sizeable market through the various postings here, so as with anything, we will evaluate the market and our ability to produce a product to meet or exceed your expectations.

The most current version is 2.0.2 - may be downloaded here: http://www.oceanicww.com/services_software.html

Could a mod please move to the Oceanic section?

Thanks

Hi Doug, I'm sorry to say, my experience with oceanic customer service support has been , confusing. I wrote an e-mail to oceanic directly regarding the retrieval of the average depth of logged dive in my Veo200 and a representative of yours, Mr Mark Lane, informed me in a timely and friendly manner that both the VEO200 unit itself as well as the Oceanlog software does not permit or have the ability to retrieve that piece of information. However, I have on at least 2 seperate posts in scubaboard found mention that the oceanlog software does have the ability to provide the average depth.

I have also posted this question as a topic on the forum but have not recieved any reply from anyone from Oceanic... As such... do I follow the advise from Mr lane or is the information provided in error? The problem is, the authorised dealer/distributor here in Singapore too does not know, and have advised me to ask Oceanic directly before making a purchase of the PC interface cable.

Could I get some official confirmation? Thanks!

I still use the old version of the software. I just save the raw info as an excel file and then I calculate the av. depth and SCR using Excel. In fact, I've recorded a small macro that does it automatically with a press of a button. I just need to input info on the tanks and amount of gas used. I wish the software would do it automatically, but so far it doesn't.
