Diver Dennis:Why?
Still love ya,clgsamson:The Canon 400D (10.1 mp) has just been announced...I still love Nikrap!![]()
Diver Dennis:I do agree with the 350D comparison Ron. There really is none. As you pointed out, it will be the new 400D that will be the comparison. I really have no hatred of Nikon. It'd just fun to joke around a bit...
Don't worry Jam. These Nikrap guys will get theirs...

So was the OP's question ever answered?
Judging by the buzz the D80 will be a very very popular camera, wonderful value for the money..
So I think you'd probably see the majority of the underwater housing manufacturers have housings out within a few months..
Ikelite, Sea & sea, fantasea? and all the rest..
So true.RonFrank:I gave him a *guess* based on the D200 timeframes which was 3 month *maybe* (Ikelite/Sea&Sea) and more like 6 months before the housing is in stock. Having Ike announce and release a housing, and actually getting one are two different things. I'd make the same recommendation I did for the D80 body. Contact Ryan at Reef, or whom every your favorite High end housing retailer is, and preorder the thing if you want it in your hands ASAP.
I'm not sure where the housing manufactures stand in the pecking order for pre-production bodies, but it's very unlikely they got their hands on a body any eariler than Phil (DPReview). He received a body to test and review at the beginning of Aug.
