I'm glad you decided to get an AAS.
Just a little math for you.
867 dives in 38 years. With 1/3, approx. 300 (lets round up f/ arguments sake) done in the first 5 years. Approx. 60 dives a year, for the first 5 years. That leaves 600 dives in 33 years. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... That's about right .... 1st 5 years I was in high school and college and had a lot more time to dive but little money. The freshwater lakes in Texas are poor visibility but close. One of my college buddies father had a 27ft boat we took to the gulf rigs weekends. Got into spearfishing for several years. Went to Florida durning spring and Xmas breaks. Had a really great time and got some diving in between parties. Since i had to get a life in the real world after college (job as an accountant) I haven't gone diving as much but have offset that by going some really great places.
