I have been busy researching this new policy. Our Scubapro rep. is here for our fall sale. We have been extremely busy selling SubGear/Scubapro gear.

I hope to post an update very soon.

A very artful way of self promoting without answering the question.

I guess this new policy is more complex than it appears.

I'm guessing a rebuild kit costs the manufacturer maybe 50 cents.

flots.
I seemingly remember Chris from HOG not totally mentioning his price but saying it was way more than what most thought it would be. To the point where his costs for one part were higher than most people thought the entire kit should sell for. Sometimes we have to take into account the fact that scuba parts are not always as common as we would hope.

Although I am all for Scubapro offering parts to those capable of repairing their own regulators, it is probably only a dream. Depending on how this 2 year deal works out will dictate if I keep my MK25's and S600's or sell them, buy a set of HOG's and put money in my pocket.

Not that artful. He can't resist any opportunity for a sales pitch.

Of course that's what this whole policy has always been about. It's not about customer service, it's about getting a customer back in the dealer every year for a sales pitch.

If the SP rep.is there he should be able dictate a response that you could put up. Surely he knows all the details.

You forgot the [sarcasm][/sarcasm] tags, Jim. A sales rep who knows details?

Falling back to your old ways I see :shakehead:

Let's not beat Beaverdivers up - he was good enough to alert us to this potential change. Most of us have to deal with our own SP LDS on service. Just knowing to ask the question of my LDS has been a help. Of course, a link to an announcement from SP would be even better. :D
