I have seen that spot in many nortes and it does remain pretty calm. But my guess is that the boats remained tied up that might rip it up. My guess is that visiting yachts would be asked to leave and any real ocean going yacht anchor should hold in a norte. Hurricane…that is another story, but just about every dock gets hurt in a big hurricane—I have 4 of them in the water in front of my Villa Aldora. AS mentioned above, they make great fish habitat!

Just seems like another badly thought out idea/knee jerk reaction to the fact they cant get larger boats into the brand new marina lol......

Unlike the new marina, these spots actually have bathrooms and a building....

These work. Had a great time watching the little kids playing in them. They place cups over the holes and since they do not which hole will fire next its a great guessing game for them to see who's cup if fired into the air next.

I think the ones at the palacio worked originally too. :)

That being said, I thought the fountain was a dumb idea back when I saw the plan. Then a cab guy and I were shooting the bull and he convinced me the idea might have merit. Now it appears it appears it is pretty darn cool and he was right.
