Generally Bali is considered on the lower end of diving in South East Asia. Truly world class diving in other parts of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia.

Cool, you’ve established your credentials but I’m not sure the point you’re trying to make. I’m not saying Bali doesn’t offer “a good diving vacation.” I’m saying that better diving can be found in SEA. Do you disagree?

Clearly I do not agree. As you said I have established my credentials. What is better diving? Can I see Manta, Mobula, Mola, Hammerheads, in other parts of SEA that I can see on one trip to Bali? You need to dive Belongas Bay. I need to find the video where my bubbles go horizontal then down not up lol

You should dive with Jay Catheral at Wild Scuba Indonesia. and have some real diving. Some dive sites are for only the most experienced divers due to extreme currents. Jay will only take you there after you have done some dives at sites that are easier to dive first. Some of the best diving I have ever done in SEA

I don’t really think of diving out of Lombok as Bali but agree it’s world class. I’ll reach out to Jay next time I’m over there.

I've been diving the SEA since 1986 on a regular basis since I have lived in SEA but still live close by.
Bali offers a good diving vacation. Then again I have direct flights to many SEA destinations that are only 2 - 5 hours away. Have done several dive trips this year and posted about them.

So Sir where have you dived. Raja Ampat, Banda sea, Komodo, Ambon, Tubbatha reef to name a few world class sites?

It is for me and it is part of a good Bali dive vacation. It's not like Lombok has international flights lol
A ferry ride or domestic flight from Bali but it's so close it's a mere fart in the wind distance. You may as well say Nusa Penida is not in Bali being a separate island. TK was claiming Bali is on the lower end of diving and there is better diving elsewhere in SEA. I don't agree with that. It's a matter of one's opinion.

He yet has not dived the areas where some of the best diving can be had. Lombok has some of the most pristine diving you will see. Just be prepared for strong currents.

Just got a message on Saturday from a chap I met at Fuvamulah Maldives in May. The guides were telling us how stong the currents are there. I just laughed and said they had obvously not dived in Bali or Lombok.

He didnt know there was good diving but after I showed him my dive video's with Jay he decided to make a trip there. He's having a great time and will also dive in Lembongan which also has great diving.

To claim Bali is on the lower end of diving in SEA for me is just plain wrong.

What you think is irrelevant - No, Belongas Bay is not part of Bali. It is located on the southwestern coast of Lombok, Indonesia. Lombok is a separate island from Bali, and the two are separated by the Lombok Strait. Stop making things up because it is what you think.

You may as well say Nusa Penida is not in Bali being a separate island. Again, you are wrong. Penida is in Indonesia not Bali. Bali is in Indonesia.
