hello all, I'm new to diving and buy my first dc. I have narrowed my choice to the liquid vision Lynx or the Galileo. I feel I would be able to grow as a diver with both computers. My main concern is the battery on the Lynx and the transmitter on the Galileo. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at the Shearwater Perdix? I considered a Galileo when I upgraded from my Uwatec Tech 2G but after comparing the features, I chose the Shearwater. It is easy to use and has a recreational mode as well as tech modes, plus it uses AA batteries.

That is an older model but similar. You can see it on YouTube videos. New Perdix or Petrel 2 are around $800. Shearwater computers aren't air integrated if that is an important feature for you.
