Cheryl,

Sign me up if you decide to dive with him.

I've got a friend coming in from the mainland for the weekend of 3/03 and I'd love to find someone to go out with at club prices. We have to dive on Saturday, though, because he is flying to Maui on Sunday. I wonder if that will count as a "local". I guess I could call and ask. I'm not sure if Breeze allows club member guests either.

Catherine,

You are so funny! Your new avatar. Have you had any comments yet? So funny.

You guys want to try him? I will personaly take you. If you can roll with him, you will feel like you are on your own private boat. we can go almost anytime! he has tanks too. he asks me everyday when you all are coming!

Does he have a minimum number of people he will take out? Or maximum? I'd sure like to set something up for Saturday, the 4th with my mainland guest. Do you think he will be OK with me bringing someone who isn't a local?

well, I am pretty sure you have to live here. ask him. 221-8346 No divers this am

I could go sat----maybe Leesa could go, i want to treat her so she can give me a photog lesson. yea, I am scammin on her. she needs to be my guru. she is not jealous about gaurding all her knowlege. The girl is willing to share. love peole like that! I have told several friends about her histogram "tip" and know everyone is asking me. which is...futile.

Oh, and Catherine, do you want me to remind you when it's time to eat? You seem to be addicted today.

My dad had a quad-bypass this morning so I didn't sleep very well and I'm sort of out of it today so SB is quite the diversion for me but I'm not getting any work done.

This sounds like a plan. Maybe then he'll go easy on us. :D

I've got stuff going on with my daughter over the next few weekends, so I'm not free to dive until the weekend of 2/19, in which case I'm already signed up with Breeze.

However, I can maybe do a dive on 3/04 afternoon, even if it is a Saturday. You did mean March, Becky? Saturdays are not optimal for me but I can occasionally squeeze them in.

Hope things go well for your dad and he gets better soon. Sometimes you do need a diversion to keep you from worrying too much.

Aloha Becky!

I know you were worried about your dad last week. Lots of good vibes going his way!!!

Catherine~ sadly, Saturdays won't be doable for me for a while...I don't have any time off left. Gotta collect some more, maybe in a month or two. BUT...Right now no one is booked on Wednesdays AM boat...if they get a couple would ya wanna go??

Cheryl,

Yes, I meant March. Sorry.

I know you work on Saturday mornings. Is that why you said afternoon? But you could squeeze in an afternoon, right? Alex indicated he would accommodate Catherine so that should be do-able.

I think I have two more locals who would like to go then, also.

Thanks for the good thoughts about Dad, you guys.

Yeah, I can't go Saturday mornings, but if I don't have anything going on with my daughter in the afternoon, I should be ok.

Ah - it's always good to have connections!

So you guys let me know when you're got a definite date being planned.

I just got off the phone with Alex. Right now, as the club is in the early stages, he is using club members as seat fillers. And you have to call a few days ahead of when you want to dive to see if there are available seats. So it's kind of a last minute kind of diving.

Additionally, he needs minimum 10 club divers to be able to operate the boat if the club doesn't want to go out with tourists.

He does say that he has "exclusive" or secret sites so that may be worth it. He has a new boat (40') and fuel is expensive which is why he has that minimum. He did say I could take my dive buddy from the mainland if there were seats available on the day we want to dive (at the club price) as long as I understand it is without a guide.

It sounds exciting, though, if the membership grows because he would be willing to go to Molokai, etc. with club members if they were willing to pay for fuel, etc. He doesn't believe in asking for yearly dues, though.

I think I'll try for a spot on his boat when my friend is here if Breeze doesn't have anything. Or if there are 10 locals who want to try this out then. He won't take the club members out on Sunday mornings because the toursists pay big, big bucks for 3-tank dives on Sunday mornings and that is his most popular trip.
