I have had ;

Spiro Nordic and Scubapro Air2
Mares Orbitor and Axis Octopus
Scubapro S600 with R380 octopus (fantastic but now the girlfriends)

and now have

Aqualung Legend LX on long Hose and Legend LX Supreme on backup

I also have an Apeks TX40/DS4 O2 cleaned for deco cylinder.

This is the best setup I have ever had and will use them for the forseeable future.

I considered the Apeks ATX range but they've ruined them IMHO with non standard hoses and a non standard port on the first stage.

...coupled with the Micra ADJ second. Perhaps another second stage on it someday. I'd love to try the Legend. I hear nothing but glowing reports on those.

cause mine "that i trust and will ....yada yada yada..."
is a Zeagle flathead 6. I have some titans but the VI,DS-IV and the ZX's are what I'll be breathing.

Well guys, I dive Poseidon Jet Streams for everything but my deco Units. I realize some prefer other regs for cold water, but mine have given exemplery service. $50.00 rebuild costs aren't breaking me either. I work EM and they keep chugging, Deep, cold, work, or play! My deco units are Dacor Viper Tec's that I use for 100% and Oceanic DX4's for 50%. I always hated the air exhaust going by my ears, it drove me crazy.

Bought my very first reg a few weeks ago, a Scuba Pro Mk25/S600. I can't wait to try it out in something other than a swimming pool. I do belive though that I am going to get my fiance an Atomic Z1. That was my second choice.

i might not use it forever though what i have now are keepers - SP MK16/S550/R380. works well for my dives in open water down to the recreational depth limits. breathing effort barely degraded when i donated air to normal breathers as well as hoovers.

oh, i occasionally get to use my wife's Atomic B1's. actually, i got to use it twice

personal experience from the people i trust say the Apeks TX50 works well too.
