I just don't log dives
I am looking to buy a new AI computer for next year. Not sure of wireless or not... probably not. Anyway I just want to know if there are any I should not buy and if so why.

Well, okay then. What type of diving do you plan to do with this computer? Are you going to stay rec or go tec? If you go tec how soon are you making that leap? If I were going to buy a new computer for rec diving and I want AI, then I would still go with a hosed computer with a quick detach coupling for down loading your dives. Reason being is I still see people popping up from time to time to complain their wireless units keep loosing synch. I know technology is improving, but I don't think it's totally there yet. I dive a Sunnto Cobra 1st gen and it has been a great trouble free unit, but very conservative. I hear good things about Oceanic and the Atomic units.

There are other units available as well. Just keep poking around the net and this forum and you will find your perfect match. Bruce

I dive an Oceanic VT3. Personally, of the two aspects of the computer, I enjoy the quality of it being a wrist-style more than it being AI (although it is both). I used to dive a Sherwood Wisdom 2. Great computer. Easy to read. Easy to operate. I just got tired of having this big honkin' console at my side. Now I just have a mini-spg as backup to the AI on my Oceanic. I just glance at my wrist and I know as much as I need to. Very efficient.
