I am shopping for a tropical travel BC (Med/Large). I am hoping for one that packs "small" enough to carry-on along with regs & mask. (Hate delayed bags from connecting flights!)

Looks like some changes to the '07 Scout are the 1000 denier material, cummerbund and smaller weight capacity 20 lbs? Anything else?

What is the weight of the BC (24lb wing)? What is the inherent bouyancy? Does this bc pack smaller than your aluminum BP/W hog harness?

Thanks!
Joe

The new Scout weighs about 5 lbs. The inherent bouyancy should be minimal.

I just folded one up and got it pretty small...probably smaller than you can get a BP...but YMMV.

Thanks,

Scott
