More like riding an electric pushbike. So much easier to do big and long dives, but cost more and need much more planning and preparationI dive OC. CCRs are like riding a Penny-farthing around London.
If you’d dived one, you’d realise the fallacy of this statement.Because my testosterone level is so high; and I'm on the way to being certified MOD2 from all the valuable info on this forum.
Keep the info coming. What’s the difference between MOD1 and MOD2? Not a lot in reality, but a chasm in terms of skills, planning and risk.

Except that the depth sensors are prone to breaking because of the design, and that you can’t see it in a proper turd hits the fan no viz situation (unlike some of the HUDs). It works for some people’s use, particularly those not scootering a very long distance, but I wouldn’t pretend there’s “no downsides,” as you say.NERD by a large margin. Setting the cost aside, there are no downsides to NERD that I can see.
I am right eye dominant and have NERD on the left DSV side; Petrel is on the left wrist. The configuration allows me to easily read info across the computers but only if I choose too. NERD is not intrusive for me. I say "for me" because it could be intrusive to someone else due to physiology.
Based on the feedback about the stock mount, I ordered an adjustable one that comes w rEvos. Happy as can be!
Try using a Nerd when bailed out. It’s nigh on impossible and very inconvenient.NERD by a large margin. Setting the cost aside, there are no downsides to NERD that I can see.!
No viz will be a problem with any computer I guess, not specific to NERD imo. Why is long distance scootering a problem in your opinion? Did some scooter trips and I liked it a lot better than the Petrel on my left. Bail out is a pita when it comes to NERD. In my opinion NERD is not usable anymore, meaning too cumbersome to use. Luckily we don't have to bail out that oftenTry using a Nerd when bailed out. It’s nigh on impossible and very inconvenient.
