I thought I remember applying online for and receiving an entry visa before our last trip to Cozumel in March 2021. Is that still a thing? I can't seem to find definitive information on this. Does United Airlines still supply all of the necessary forms before we land? If I need to do something online before we go - what is the website?

Thanks!

The airlines might have an adequate supply of the forms on hand, but they may not. I always fill in & print out prior departure.

Immigration: https://www.inm.gob.mx/fmme/publico/en/solicitud.html
Customs: Inicio

Edit to add:
Customs form can't be filled out more than 3 days prior to arrival.
Don't know what the time frame is for immigration, but believe that it's at least a week

A month. Go to that site and try it. It's easy. Print it out after completion and take it with you. WARNING: You'll receive part of it back at Immigration. Don't lose it. You'll need it when you leave.

If you do lose it, you'll have to talk to an immigration officer in the airport and give him/her $638.00 for a replacement.
$638 MXN? About $32 USD? I had to do that once years ago. I don't think there was a charge then. I'm sure there is now, but do specify currency.

I photograph my passport information page and tourist card to keep on my phone, carry and store my PP and tourist card in a ziplock so the card won't fall out, and keep a photograph of my passport information page and a spare PP photo in a ziplock in a separate bag just in case I have to replace the PP. That helped a lot when my granddaughter lost her PP in China. You can't board a train or get a room without a PP over there.

Really? I'm talking about a cash remittance to a Mexican Government entity, and as you're aware, the legal tender in Mexico is the Mexican Peso.
But to most of us in here $ usually means US$. The numbers usually make it obvious, though.

I try to be specific in my discussions that could involve different currencies, but I guess that's me.

This happened to me last December, what a pain in the ass, not only the cost factor but also the wait factor. The immigration officer was in no hurry to re-issue my lost paper. Never again!

I am a Mexican Resident and have to go the the immigration office every time I fly. They are never in a hurry. It’s far worse when there is an incoming flight. The officer who works at the window is also handling that flight as well. They peek in once in a while to it’s see if anyone is waiting! I now check flight schedules so my visit to immigration does not conflict with incoming flights. Gets me in and out faster.
