Am planning to trade my Hawaii time share for one in FL keys. From a diving perspective, should I be looking at Largo, Marathon, or Key West? Any times of the year to avoid? Any dive ops to recommend?

thanks

Depends on what you're looking for, but I would recommend Largo, decent reefs and some killer wrecks, although not for the fresh-outta-OW newbie. Middle Keys area typically has better reefs and fewer wrecks. My shop recommendation would be Horizon Divers:

Great people, great service, great boat, what else is there to say?

For diving... Key Largo in May is hard to beat. For topside fun (and marketability)... Key West offers has more to offer, with good diving 25 miles up the road at Looe Key. Marathon is smack in between Key Largo and Key West (50 miles from either one)... and has it's own airport (Key Largo is an hour from MIA)! Let me know if you need anything from this end... I know the upper keys pretty well. Capt Jim Wyatt (another board member) can probably provide more info on the middle-to-lower keys.
