Well, that and the fact that you are a recovering quarrior...
The first step is admitting you have a problem.

BigboyDan:
I don't like being lied to Pug, anytime anywhere.
Dan... you are demonstrating an excessive sense of self-worth coupled with delusional paranoia. No one is lying to you... and to think that an organization like GUE is even cognizant of your existence is absurd in the extreme.

cornfed:
Somewhere along the road the idea of going diving has gotten lost. People seem to forget why they got into diving and why they took DIR-F.
I don't think you're that far off, I see people around here take one or two steps "back" after taking Fundies, full cave divers doing easy intro dives, intro divers doing cavern and in some cases stepping out of diving and using the excuse that there's no one qualified to dive with.

Uncle Pug:

Actually Uncle P, I think it might be more accurate to say that in this world, pretty much everybody lies to us. But we learn to pump out the bilge and carry on. Or at least, many of us do.

BigboyDan:
GUE does not offer better training than any other agency, DIR divers are not better divers than those who are not DIR trained.
Let's take a look at PADI's mission statement, shall we?

In all that we do, we pride ourselves in performing it correctly and accurately the first time to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Correctly and accurately? Odd, that sounds and awful lot like they are suggesting their is a proper or, dare I say, a right way of doing thing.

We will strive for continuous quality improvement in all that we do in order to be the world's premier recreational diving training and educational company.
Hmm... "Premier" sounds a lot like "best". Weren't you just complaining because GUE was trying to be the best?

Now if you hurry home and you can catch billy goat gruff on the return trip.

Ever ask someone about the church of scientology? I dont understand why people would do that. but what ever floats your boat. I for one am going to spend some money to join the church of scientology, and do nothing but hang out with other scientologist. The whole thing is very odd. Some people in life are leaders, and others are followers. I guess thats all it boils down to.

You a psychologist too?

I'm talking about their published materials.

Much of the GUE paperwork (claims) published on their website is false.

I never said anything about PADI, and the quality of their programs, other than point out what GUE referenced.

I don't get the "billy goat gruff" reference.

I know. It is delusional for you to think that they are lying to you.

Now Fox News on the other hand... we'll don't get me started on that one!

The example would have been the same had I used NAUI, SSI, IANTD, TDI, etc.

I know, it's like the Washington Post.
