OMG... sorry guys, didn't see this thread yesterday... I'm speechless and absolutely furious about this photo... Just sad and ashamed to see this kind of underwater vandalism being done by my fellow ethnic group... This was in Anilao? Christ, makes me want to find a Korean DM next week when I'm in Anilao and give them a piece of my mind about all this... Wish I had some connections with Korean dive shops back in Korea so unnacceptable behavior like this is publicized.

lets go, i will be in batangas this weekend and for the next 4 weekends (so far)

but once again... we have a pic of a coral with korean inscription, an evidence, but who can say it was made by a korean diver?

maybe it was made by a Japanese or taiwanese divers, or even by a Pinoy diver who works in Korea !

circumstancial evidence. so until we have pictures like what Koya Caloy has, then the finger pointing is baseless.

but then again as well, we can put a korean diver there (say Pakman this coming trip ) and indeed say it was a korean diver !!!! or just photoshop pakman or armands pic onto the vandalized coral....

This is very sad to see. I have printed out the picture of the coral head with the writing and will send this out to ALL resorts in Mabini (Anilao) as well as the LGU's, NGO'S, dive guides association, dive boat association. Tomorrow there is a CRM board meeting but I think that this might be too drastic a move to present to them as we are still in the process of trying to amend the ordinance on the 3 marine sanctuaries. This might present them with reason not to amend if we the divers cannot police ourselves.

Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention especially to Spoon. I will keep you informed about developments regarding this issue.

This was also a concern I thought of, this just puts the diving community in general in a bad light to non-diving groups, especially with the current discussion on the amendment of the resolution.

If I were part of the group who wants to close down those 3 sites, this is just more reason to push for total closure of those 3 sites.

let me see if I can get some Korean friends to help me post some messages including this photo to the larger dive shops in Korea, PADI Korea, and the other agencies about this unnacceptable behaviour.
