I recently got my fusion as well, and opted to wear my booties instead of getting drysuit boots. Seems to work fine. My main reason was that I didn't want to have to get a new pair of fins, as I like my XL Jetfins.

Byte Me, you're running into the same problem I had with my Fusion. I loved the Evo boots -- they're light, beautifully constructed, and have tons of ankle and arch support. But they wouldn't fit in my fins, and I couldn't cope with bigger fins. So I went to CTs and used them for a while. Then I tried wetsuit booties, but they rolled on my feet. Right now, I'm using surfer shoes from Gill Marine, and they work beautifully, but really don't have enough sole to make it comfortable to walk on rocks. I don't think I'm through with the footgear experiments yet.
