Wow! I liked the feel of it out of the water as well as in the water. One of the few things that I've upgraded to that I knew immediately was a good thing!

My gear: Halcyon 36lb Pioneer BP&W
DiveRite brass pressure gauge
Vyper wrist computer
Suunto compass
Mares Isotherm semi dry
Steel hp 120 single tank

The dive was at Bainbridge Sportsman Club in PA. Max depth 78 feet, temp at depth was 41. starting pressure 3300, ending pressure 1300, 42 minutes. Found the cement mixer, saw tons of catfish, bass and bluegills. Nice after work dive.

The BP&W felt great. I'll probably drop two pounds off the next time out. I had 4lbs trim weight on the back cam straps and 6 lbs on the weight belt in addition to the 6lb ss backplate. All in all it felt great. I upgraded from a Dacor Nautica AirTrim. I thought I would miss the convenience of the AirTrim but really using the inflator is really easy. I had no problem finding the rear dump. Everything about this rig worked great and felt great in and out of the water. I need to tighten the straps up a bit and move the tank down a bit.

If you are contemplating a BC, I would recommend a BP&W rig.

Congrats, BP/Ws are great. I love mine.

Yep, I had a similar revelation recently! They sure are great! Hard to get out of (on the surface) but great on all other counts. Best piece of Scuba gear I have ever bought.

I started diving an Oxycheq rig a little over a month ago and probably have about 40 dives with it and I am definitely impressed. Glad to hear you had a good experience!

If you have your own tank, get a paint pen and when you get dialed in, put a couple of small stripes where your tank bands hit, so you can rig up the same eveyrtime.

If you rent, build a jig (I used to use a plastic VHC tape cover) so you can get the bands in the same place everytime.

It helped me a lot - diving the same rig every time.

hog harness, 5 foot primary reg hose, I need shorter hoses for pressure gauge and back up reg. My primary is an Apeks ATX200 backup is Apeks ATX50. I'm taking the DIR-F with Bob Sherwood at Dutch Springs in September.

You looked trim to me, but then again I was busy fiddeling with my DS hose i forgot to connect at 60', felt like I was gettin one huge hickey!
I have been moving mine up due to not having any bouyancy in my legs. each time I move it i measure w/my fingers from the crown of the tank to the top of the strap and mark how many fingers in my log book.
I'm sure fundies will get you trim!
Glad to hear you like it! and yes it was one of the best night dives i've had at BSC.
