Wow, that doesn't help my outlook.... This is try #3 (I think) for me. I guess going around this time of year doesn't help anything either. Hopefully the weather/conditions will hold out on Monday and we'll get to do the dive.

I can't imagine the dive would be much fun in rough conditions anyway.

next spring... im going to be taking my AOW and my deep diving calss

after that ... maybe we can all go out and have a scuba board sub dive :)

and BBQ :)

Gabe, I plan on doing several dives Saturday and Sunday if you want to meet up. Most likely Cape Ann. The forecase is calling for winds out of the south\south west so probably something with northerly exposure.

Let me know...

I'm still hoping that the weather will hold. I spent two hours last night mixing gas for a trip to the U-Boat this Sunday. This will be my third dive on it this season. The first two were good, with the second one having the best vis I've ever seen on that wreck (35 feet)

35 feet... nice! If we can just get out there I'll be happy. Good luck on Sunday.

Sounds good to me. And BBQ... we must have BBQ :)

AOW is a fun and relaxed class. The deep diving class sounds interesting but also not that necessary (kind of like the night diving 'class'). Dive often and once you get comfortable with a particular depth, pick a site where the good stuff is a little deeper. Progress slowly and I bet you'll make out just fine...

Let's hope so!

So far Matt and I have been washed out on every charter we have tried this summer (not just the U-boat). I have become such a pessimist that when we were discussing this dive yesterday I said to Matt "Okay, now let's plan where we are really going to dive after they cancel the charter!"

Personally I am planning to absolutely abuse this 3 day weekend! Saturday I am working on dive plans. Sunday I have plans for 2 dives. And Monday Matt and I will do a shore dive someplace after we go through ritual of showing up at the dive shop to discover the U-boat charter is cancelled again! :eyebrow:

Since Matt and I did 2 dives last night this should mean I will reach my weekly nitrogren quota!

Hey Gabe, I'll PM you my phone number. Scubastew and I were planning on hitting Folly in the early AM. I plan on doing two or three dives so if you don't feel like getting as early a start as us you can join us after our first dive.

I'm waiting to hear from stew regarding the time so give me a call and i'll let you know what's up.
