Green_Manelishi:My buddy's puter tracked a very dramatic drop in temp at the thermocline. If memory is correct it was quite a bit more than a 10degree shift in less than 1 ft.
I'd have guessed more like a 15 degree shift... What I meant to imply was that the temperature stays pretty constant below the thermalcline, despite the changing surface temp.
I suppose I have verified this somewhat... Its pretty darn cold below the thermalcline early in the spring and it's still pretty darn cold below the thermalcline the middle of the summer, but the depth at which I encountered it moved during that time from 30 ft to 20 ft. I've never been in the fall, so I don't know how it is right now....
