I've seen a diver skip :20 minutes of deco, come up, go onto O2 for :90 minutes and walk right off the boat - no harm no foul. Just depends, I guess.

Not that you're recommedning that as SOP, correct??? (Just to be clear and not to leave a wrong impression to any impressionable divers who might be reading this thread.)

Glad to hear you are getting the help you need.

Was anyone diving with you? You should advise them of your situation, since they might be sitting around waiting for their symptoms to get better when they may need a chamber too

I hope everything goes well for you.

OMG NO. I was just noting that individual results vary.

So I spent three hours in the chamber with two more tomorrow.the doctor seems to think my shoulder pain is deltoid muscle and not joint. Not real sure I was ever bent or not - but I have certainly learned a big lesson. Have more to learn and a little humility should help. Thanks for the help.

Are you feeling any better after a three hour ride?

BTW - It takes courage [or fear] to come here and throw yourself into the pack of sharks on the forum. I'm quite encouraged you sought treatment and hope you recover quickly.

glad to hear you are getting better mate ! thumbs up for opening a topic and sharing experience for us

This is obviosuly a recreational dive and a square profile is pretty unlikely in this particular case. I ran all four dives in the planner using 30/85GF and determined he was a bit greedy on that second dive. I think what the OP didn't realize is the inert gas loading could not have washed out from the first dive enough to allow the second dive. If we could get the dive profiles, it would be interesting to see if the error could have been "fixed" on dive four by a long hang on air. I've seen a diver skip :20 minutes of deco, come up, go onto O2 for :90 minutes and walk right off the boat - no harm no foul. Just depends, I guess.
Actually, I would have gone on standard Oxygen deco at 20'/6m for at least 5 minutes after the bottom profile of the second dive . . .and then use Eanx 32 for all remaining dives of the series (and probably at least one last O2 deco clean-up after the bottom profile of the last dive). Yeah, that sequence of dives of the OP is very aggressive for recreational repetitive air diving. . .

My DCS type I accident, and the hard lessons I learned (first & foremost -NEVER DELAY MORE EFFECTIVE HYPERBARIC OXYGEN TREATMENT!!!):

I spent 5 hours in a chamber once. Things hadn't gone right on a dive so when I started hurting I went straight to a diving doctor. The chamber ride didn't help and the medics weren't at all sure whether I'd had a hit or not. But you don't take chances with DCS. To me it was a no-cost choice and everyone should arrange their life so that it's a no-cost choice for them as well. Since DAN Americas charge around the cost of two dives for a year's cover it really is a no-brainer.

glad all is well.........keep us informed. what type of chamber did you go in a multi-place or mono place ? and where?

I'm going to jump out on a limb here and speculate the OP doesn't have a card/training which allows O2.
