Sucrets are NOT DIR. Anyone who uses anything other than Altoids when building any of these devices should limit their diving to bathtubs and kiddy pools.

BTW, I can't believe that you are still using trimix. As we all know, trimix is nothing more than a stopgap used by people who are unwilling to commit to a proper training regime.

My 6 substitutes chlorine and ammonia for O2 and N2. I'm proud to say that I've completely eliminated the narcosis issues and have yet to determine my MOD. Of course, my LDS is perpetuating the conspiracy by refusing to fill my tanks. Instead, I go to my buddy, who has rigged a booster off of his car's exhaust.

I'll be testing it this weekend.

I'm assuming that you have the hose routing on your 6 correct. Behind your back, around your RIGHT (as in DIR) ankle, through the down line and the dive boat's prop, then to your mouth. It takes a 72' primary, but in my opinion (which is not humble), its the only way to dive.

I did have the hose routing correct .I once saw a diver who had the 72' hose stuffed instead of routed properly.

an instructor at the LDS says ammonia is equally as narcotic as nitrogen .or is he way off on that one.

Very funny, but just in case someone out there doesn't understand it is a joke, I'm going to add a disclaimer.

Mixing ammonia and chlorine produces chlorine gas which will kill you.

Good thing Walter informed us, I was just about to do a mix in my gararge;)

MSilvia once bubbled...
Man... 69 wasn't even an option when I voted.

That definately sounds like an entanglement hazard though. :)

Just make sure you don't have anything dangling and you should do just fine:)

I've been outside trying to see what rpm's equal what pressure... don't want to overfill my LP's.

5900 rpm seems to give a nice 2600 psi fill in a LP95.

for those that want an overfill, you have to use a vehicle capable of 7200rpm.

run your exhaust line thru a shop vac which will allow you to boost the pressure to the required level.

Duct tape works here also to ensure all fittings are airtight.
