Dove Breakwater yesterday. Not bad....bout 15' for most of it, but it opened up the further down the wall we got. Had some nice interaction with plentiful sea lions at our furthest point. We dropped at #9 and meandered northeast along the wall for a good 30 mins before turning around. The viz opened up to 30' in some shallow spots, bout 25 foot depth, way out along the wall. Big schools of blues. Probably a dozen or so lings. Nudis and crabs, the usual assortment in plentiful numbers. Couple small patches of squid eggs out in the sandy floor. Fun colorful dive.
I should add that we had to walk away from N Monastery before heading to the bay. We showed up a bit late, bout 10:30am, and a couple of divers had just been rolled out of there and had a tough crawl up the beach. Wind chop but some heavy rollers hitting the shoreline as well. Didn't take long to make that decision. They did claim to have about 30' of viz out past the kelp amongst the big boulders before the trench.
