Lobos was empty today. Rolled in at 0840 to a parking lot with only 4 cars. There was 2 other teams there diving today. The waves were crashing on the point and with the high tide/waves it was sloshing into the parking lot. Plan was to go to Granite Pt Wall and try to find some decent water. We surface scootered out to the worm patch then dropped. Cut across middle reef and over to the east side. Vis wasn't bad but the surge was definitely present as we could see the sand getting kicked up whenever the water action would hit. We snuck a peek around the corner but vis was dropping off there as well. We hung out at the wall and dive buddy Dionna did some fish surveys. Surfaced at wormpatch and surface scooted in. Exit was challenging but uneventful in the end. Had a nice chat with a Jr Diver who was interested in Can lights HID vs LED ect... He was also in a long hose and BP&W which was good to see.
