seas and winds higher then predicted this AM(southeast winds and strong north current, winds abeam the boat directing south, real sloppy out there) and decided to stay close, double dip molasses reef. 1st dive northern deep buoy, 55-90FT(same old story but the site delivers!), mdt+ current, dusty blue water, viz 40-50, sunshine and 78-79F. nothing spectacular; turtle, usual reef creatures and a few eagle rays while on safety stop. second dive, the southernmost shallow buoy as the current picked up and made the deep site undoable. mdt+ current, viz 35-40FT(might be generous), 79F @ 25-30FT. a few eagle rays, grouper, permit, pillar coral and lots of reef fish. might head north to carysfort tomorrow.. photos(12-24mm lens) by tim,,,,,,,,,,,
squid, turtle, filefish, blue and queen anglefish alongside barrel sponge on the dropoff(55-85FT), the rest shallow,,,,,,,,,,,
