Ummmmmm, I wear a full mask, so I can't MOF or NMOF, and if my mask does fly "away" it's attached to my regulator, so I'd have to undo the quick disconnect on the mask and then throw it in order to lose it. hehehe So here is the question

Us full fask mask divers, are we ABOVE MOF ??? come on all you Kriby Morgan/AGA/Ocean Reef Neptune divers..... Are you above MOF ???? and if we are, then do we get the hottest chicks too ???????????

Of all the things in the world worthy of debate and attention, the MOF seems very low on the list.

Just above congress debating steroids in baseball!

I haven't read every post but how come nobody mentioned the fogging of their mask when using the MOF procedure? Is it only me??? Head sweats and mask fogs. Put mask in place to descend (after a while on surface and waiting for buddie to splash) and it is fogged so then spit in mask and rinse with salt water and reinstall. Then wonder why I bought sea gold and so carefully rinsed mask in mask tank on boat???

I have a hard time sweating through 7mm of neoprene on my forehead... I also don't generally bother with trying to defog my mask until I hit the water and then I use spit...

Saw this one guy roll in off the boat holding his mask to his face, when he let go so did the mask, he caught it about 5 feet down and saved his dive. The strap had come undone.

This leaves me confused as to where the mask is truely safe:confused:.....on the forehead it may fly off :no , on the back of the head it could fly off or confuse other divers that your hood is on backwards :11: , on your face......well the above example poits that out......perhaps we should just forgo the mask all together as then one could never loose it.......:D

I guess I should never remove reg from mouth when on surface because that's what panicked divers do right before placing their MOF

The thing about MOF vs. NMOF is knowing when it's OK and when it is not.
I had to abort a dive this past weekend due to exhaustion and the mask came down around my neck at the surface/shore.
If I surface in calm water after a fun dive, the mask goes on my forehead. :mrcool:

Nope, the question for me is between mask on forehead and mask on face.

You put your mask on your face just before going UW for best viz :D

Ok so when your exhausted and possibly might need help you don't put it on forehead but when everything is cool and you don't need help it goes on your forehead:D :no
