Pete and all, what do you think of either having a sticky somewhere that has a list of the moderators and their real first names or in their on-line profiles they put their first name. With a few mods they use their name as there screen name, Rick M. for example but "The Kraken"??? If I want to PM him it is weird to say "Greetings The Kraken..."

Some might argue that a real "reader" of this site would know the names, from various posts or personal communications, but what about a rookie or someone who hasn't looked for names?

Actually the Kraken is of Nordic mythology.

Hint: my name is the first three letters of a certain state in the U.S. Think gold reserve, horse racing and mint juleps... :)

Walter:
There's also one in Greek mythology.
Wikipedia is certainly not a definitive reference, but:

"In the 1981 film Clash of the Titans, "Kraken" is given as the name of the creature that is sent to kill Andromeda. In fact this monster, slain by Perseus, was typically referred to as a "ketos" by the ancient Greeks, a word that is best translated by the English phrase "sea monster". The ketos has no historic connection with Kraken."

Nanny-Nanny BOO-Booooooooo !!!!! :D

Walter:
I am certainly eagerly awaiting your reference to an appearance of the Kraken in ancient Greek mythology.... and Clash of the Titans doesn't count
