Found a Scubapro MK25/S550 set up for $300.00. Appears to be in great shape. Good deal or no??

IMO, not really. You can get a new 2012 MK25/S600 for $399. See: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/ho...12-models-mk25-mk17-g250v-s600-mix-match.html

The $100 savings is eaten up pretty much right away since you'll likely want to service it before diving it.

On ebay a Mk25 usually goes for $175-$200 and an S555 for $75-$100. So this is not that great of a deal. Also as Chrpai pointed out, Scubapro is changing their lines and you can get great deals from Beaverdivers and Leisurepro.

Now if the setup includes gauges and an octo then the deal gets better depending on the brand and model.

I got lucky at my LDS when building my pony. I was able to get a freshly rebuilt MK20 with MK25 upgrades, S550 and a new Zeagle brass and glass SPG on a 6" hose for $250. The 1st and 2nd without the SPG would have been $175. I then sold the s550 for $75 and bought a new Hog DUROC 2nd at black friday prices.

As others have said this is not a good deal you can get same for less.
