Like Scubaskipper says... take your suit off in the water if you're tropical diving. That and a quick rinse with simple green or some other disinfectant in the rinse tank will take care of all but the worst funk if you're starting with a clean suit to begin with. If it's already past the point of getting funky, you've got to hit it with an enzyme product.

And what do you do for bird poop? :shocked2:

I don't have a bird poop problem since I no longer have dogs :)

How does not having dogs keep birds from roosting in your tree and dropping poop? I'm lost?

I wouldn't have made the connection either if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

It works this way: When you have dogs, you also have dog food and water. Birds LOVE both of those, and sit in the trees waiting for the dogs to take a nap so they can swoop down for the goods.

There's still a few birds around, but their poop misses my dive gear.

Mirazyme is a deodorizer, I use a product called Kennel Kare, which is actually a disinfectant, so not only does the suit smell better, the smell won't come back since the stuff that caused the stink is gone...

Dont do anything about it.
Divers are supposed to smell that way. It's macho.
Why smell like a rose?

I fill the bathtub with warm water and put a generous amount of simply green in the water. Works like a champ. I know a lot of divers put their wetsuits in the washing machine on gentle, but I'm too paranoid. If my wetsuit had cost me $30 instead of $300 I might try it. There has to be a darn good reason the manufacturers don't recommend this.
