Would imagine that solid state sensors with a DiveCAN interface would be a big game changer too.

Long-term reliability. End of that scourge of constant cell failures!

These will drop in place of normal analog cells with no changes.
Currently (AIUI) there's an Analog to Digital Converter to digitise the cell output voltage to push onto the CAN bus. Maybe, in the not too distant future, the new solid state cells will be directly CanBUS-compliant to directly register the PPO2, not voltage?

Any concerns that the big reveal was at a cafeteria table and no PR at all from the Kiss team? Also, no excitement from the DT guys regarding the Sidewinder 2, not even a mention.

Realistically, how long does everyone think it will take until this is available to the general public.

Just an outside looking it, but I get the impression that the SW2 isn't Mike's project.

Woody made a video of Patrick going over sw 2’s new features. It was up on Facebook but can’t find it now. I know it had some bad audio when I watched it.

My thoughts exactly! That’s what I’m most excited about. @Whitrzac any info on who makes the computer? Is that a new kiss development?
Cells (and likely computer) are being developed by Oxygen Scientific, who I believe are in Germany.
If you follow SumpUK on social media he's been diving them for a while. They also have a completely wireless HUD.

It's all just been in testing up until now though. The sensors are supposed to drop right in where a galvanic would be.

I don’t understand exactly what this is for, if the al80 on your back is dil and bailout, what extra does it do for you. Is it just a shallow 02 rebreather.
