I'm available any day, any location until noon on Monday. For that reason, I didn't vote for LA County on Monday. All else is just dandy!

Shaw's and other Laguna sites have had horrible viz for too long. What are viz reports for LA County like this week, so far?

20-25 foot vis at Redondo yesterday.
That's great news! This sounds better than what I'm hearing about the Orange County locations, so hopefully later today we'll decide to do some L.A. County diving this weekend.

Since we have 12 votes for Orange County on Saturday and Sunday, maybe Monday would be a good day to venture into L.A. and sample some of that 20+ foot vis that David is talking about at Redondo. So that would make 2 days in OC and one in LA.

I think that we are going to start getting a South swell for this summer so the L.A. County locations might be better this summer. Maybe those that know more about this can comment on it.

Also, I was thinking that since it sounds like it's pretty flat everywhere this weekend that conditions should be great for trying out some out some of those Orange County locations that we always wait for good conditions to dive.

I'm thinking that we may want to start out Saturday morning at Treasure Island, since that's a spot that most of us don't usually dive.

Sunday morning we could start out at Crystal Cove with SNOBORDJON.

What do you all think?

What day are you thinking about Mr Pasley?
Saturday at 08:00 a.m. I am brining 2 tanks.

Should find a nice kelp forrest (bring a light as it gets dark in the forrest) and there is a small parking lot (money required).

So who wants to join me in Malibu? Visibility should be good.

I can't go up on Saturday...I was hoping for a sunday dive in the LA area. :(

i did...:D voted yesterday... wheres crystal cove?
Yeah, I saw that. :D

I think I wrote that post before you voted.

Anyway, Crystal Cove is about 2 miles north of Crescent Bay.

So...what's the plan for Saturday...Treasure Island? Where is it? Gonna do Casino Point with the family Monday, but would like to find the group tomorrow.

I just called Zuma lifeguards, and they say there's still some lingering red tide in the Malibu area, and viz is poor (< 5ft.).

So, Orange County tomorrow morning it is then.

I'm thinking 8am might be good so that those of us that have to drive between an hour and an hour and a half, don't have to get up just after midnight. :D

I suggest that we all meet at the parking lot that is described on the Sand Eaters website:

Sand Eaters:
...in 40 car parking garage located at the corner of WESLEY DRIVE and PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY under the green grass of Treasure Island Park. This is at the far south end of the resort. Parking cost $1.00 per hour so bring crisp $1.00 bills to feed the machine (limit 3 hours). Use the WESLEY Drive entrance off PCH and NOT the Montage Road entrance.

It sounds like this would be a good place for us all to meet and then go down and look at the conditions to decide whether to do this dive or another one. I've printed ALL of the info from the web sites listed on the first post of the Wrinkles thread and will have that in a binder for us to look at as a reference.

Does this sound good to everyone?

Christian
