Thanks Marc...Nope I didn't use a CPL but I'm planning to buy one. I can tell you the lens I used though, a Tokina 12-24 f/4 wide angle lens.

this pic is very nice, Jon. I wonder how it would look if the foreground was "in focus" and the middle part a tad OOF. I know that would mean you baking under the sun much longer to get the shot....

its 25 to 31C daily, you'll be sweating alot. Best to stay in a nice airconditioned room for 3 three days

bake in the sun? not really, the structure is actually a cabana with nipa roofing.

Dennis, those are really nice. I especially like the one with the row of trees and streetlamps. Caloy, first the oars, then the boardwalk. Woodgrain becomes you.
