Mine was just over 2 minutes at f/6.3......
With the remote control that I have my Digital rebel XTi, I can do exposures for many, many minutes.

Took this earlier today.

Looks like a hotel on the north coast maybe....

Nice view of Kingston and and the lit candles are also quite nice :).

Offers more choices in the image editing process.
As you know it's basically a digital negative.
So you have more latitude in adjusting exposure, tint, colour temperature, Sharpness and a whole host of other options.

It's amazing, the only downside that I can think of is that the files are fairly large.
A couple megabytes at least...
But RAW is all I shoot in...

Memory is cheap (at least in the us), jam, but those once in a lifetime shots are priceless. I haven't really shot in jpeg for a long time. I like the fact that I can adjust wb after the shot if I happen to dislike my original wb choice.
