First off Andy, as far as I know, Ken has been footing the bill for the past megadives (at least up front then getting reimbursed {sp}). He's also been trying to buy a house for the past 2 months or more, and may not have had the massive $$$ ammount that Ginnie want for reservation before hand.
If the Main pavilion has NOT been booked when I get there Friday, I'll rent it for Saturday at least.
EDIT: I will NOT be booking the pavilion. I can't afford the DEPOSIT that they want.
Otherwise ANDY, it's less of a walk from your car to the spring than back at Manatee :P

I need dive buddies, not to sit around whining to Ken and Jarrod again about how i want to dive but no-one is around to do so
Worry not Simon.
I can't speak for "Jarrod", but I (JarrEd) will be diving Friday. As long as somebody is watching the campsite, I'll be happy to dive.

It's always the freakin' attorneys! Whine, whine, doubles on my back, too far to walk, reel tangled, out of air, handcuffed to main grate in ballroom,... want some cheese? How will you eat that underwater without the fish attacking you?

Pavillion info;
deposit to reserve 250$ + 75$ fee for rental on Saturday/50$ for Sunday
Since we will have campers on site before the park even opens, we can send somone down to takeover the pavillion. As long as it's not reserved, we can commandeer it if needed. During the October Hurricane event, it was much better to just setup on site rather than have to keep moving the cooking gear from campsite to pavillion, and back to campsite. Setting up at the campsite should be easy for everyone. As we've said before, you'll see how easy I try to make things when you get there. :) Heading from the office to the main spring, turn into the camp area and drive past the bathhouse. We are just after it on the inside of the loop. Trust me, we'll be hard to miss once the tarp and tents go up! Most responses are: MY GOD! That's a HUGE tarp!

Well, all hope we can still make it. Got gear ready, supplies bought, food, and batteries, fill the tanks and .....and Hermit Crab has come down with a wicked fever. If it breaks before tomorrow night, we are outa here, but it just seems to creep higher and higher each time there is a lapse of more than 3 hours with medicine...last night it hit over 104°!!! :11:
Please send good vibes this way... I really really really really want to go camping and diving and see everybody...

=(

i hope she gets better soon, and i was really looking forward to seeing you again,
so... here's good vibes your way

Dope 'er up an' git 'er up here!
Nothing lowers a core temperature like a dip in the springs!
High temps mean virals the body is trying to cook off. I pray it's a weak strain.
Get well soon. If you can't make it, we understand.
Everybody mantra...
Ommmmmmmmmmmmmm

the last few pages of this thread sound frantic. I will bring the gas tank, but in the confusion, do I drop it off at the camp site???? or at the comondeered dive site?? will be arriving sat am going get nitrox up the street, then meet up with my son, Rick at the front desk around 9:30 am. hope Jenn's daughter is better, Chuck down hard with something too, hope he gets better, would love to trail behind andy and do some diving from ear to eye. will just show up and figure someone will direct me to correct spot. soooooo if we all drop some money in the honey pot, we can get a place by the water????
