This month we will be screening the Howard and Michelle Hall documentary film on Cocos Island entitled Island of the Sharks. Cocos is a tropical Pacific paradise where beauty and danger co-exist beneath the waves. This underwater mountain is a migratory gathering place for a dazzling array of sea creatures, including Sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, and dolphins. Boasting the worlds highest concentration of large marine predators, its waters teem with white tip, hammerhead, black tip, and silky sharks. The Island of the Sharks was funded by the National Science Foundation and produced by NOVA.
