I agree with mitten on that one. Who is that guy????

Never saw him in my life ;) but he looks so squared away I use that picture in my OW lecture :D I'm trying to figure out how he got on my camera's memory card :14:

Aww thanks Ber, I wish I was there to dive with you gals and guys this year instead of being here. Maybe when I get back, the lot of us can do something. I will be there in spirit this year.

We will melt a bottle in the fire in your honor.

I want pics...

If I don't come back from this place, you all throw a party for me. For here life is an uncertainty (sp?), each day you live on the edge not knowing if it will be your last.

You're quite welcome, I LOVE that picture. You will be missed for sure. Keep your head down and stay safe, we want this "here in spirit" thing to be temporary.

Hey just wanted to drop a line to remind everyone that I will have some gear that I would like to sell at M&G.

Balance BC XL about 30 dives all fresh water looks like new
Turtle fins spoken for by IndyScott
ScubaPro S-Tek 7 mill semi-dry XXLS 4 dives like new no rips or tears
Youth wetsuit 7 mill
Balance BC M well used missing a weight pocket
OS Systems dry suit M with undergarment
May have some other gear as well.

Squalus:
Me thinks your right about that. Sorry about being quiet on the boards, been a busy year for me and my guys. I am sure the NTA would have a big problem with me getting on a plane with a M9 strapped to my hip and M4 in my hands and all the toys that make big bangs :D . I do miss the diving so far, and the only diving I have been doing here, is diving into bunkers when they mortar us on a daily basis. I miss all of you guys and hopefully I can post the daily happenings in the military forums or they (mods) may move it somewhere...
Anyway, you all have a safe and fun dive, miss getting wet (oh yeah, I forgot I do have a dry suit...LOL). Hopefully soon I can be home again...in one piece.

Joe

Glad to hear from you. Evidently the military still hasn't gotten my orders to quit sending my divebuddies to places without water.

One of the guys in the NC group is in Afgahnastan. We are having a big group deal in NC in May, which obviously he won't be able to be at. Therefore we are going to have a moment of silece at the dives, in honnor of him and to send good vibes his way.

Maybe we ought to do this at the M&G.

Also I am thinking about selling my u/w camera. It is a Sealife film camear with houseing, and the fancy pelican case. If someone is interested let me know, and I will bring it along (if I am able to come to the m&G still a little up in the air at the moment... should know for sure Monday once I am sure I have gotten my gear to Ohio)

OK, My situation has changed. I have a different camper so the bunks are spoken for but there may be some floor space if the tenter's are in need of heat (which I hope we won't need).:D The new bus has a nice generator so we will have plenty of power and some hot water for clean up.

I am thinking of bringing a large pot of baked beans and franks for Saturday (to go along with the kielbasi I hear will be there)

I also plan to bring a couple pans of Jiffy Pop. We will need it to go along with the videos from MSRA of the wrecks they have found in Lake Michigan.

By the way, MSRA will be showing their latest DVD "She Died a Hard Death: The Sinking of the Hennepin" On May 5 in Holland, MI. see thread http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=187507 This is an evening you don't want to miss, and I am sure MSRA could sure use the financial support!

Does anybody have any recent temp readings from Gilboa? At what depths? I am diving wet at the M & G. Just curious.
