Hello Saturation:
If I understand the comment correctly, there is a concern that the bubbles generated by the mechanical valves will have a high pressure than ambient as you ascend. Actually the bubbles will expand as the hydrostatic pressure is decreased as one rises through the water column.
The bubbles will have their internal gas total pressure equal to the ambient pressure (depth) plus what is created by the arterial pressure. They will probably be able to add some gas load to a tissue, but this does not seem to be a real problem in the field.
