POed MF is short for ......well this is a faimly oriented board so ..... but POed meaning it was not happy... MFwas a continuation of that.
a leppard fish to the best of my knoledge is no such thing...
but heres the quote where i got it from.
"Hows it goin with your....what is it? leppard fish?"
"Jauguar Shark"
"Jauguar Shark!....Exactally.... Tell me does it really exist?"
"You know i dont wanna give away the ending"
"good man"

you know, whatever this thing was, doesn't sound like the sort of
fish i'd like to spend an evening in a bar with

RIOceanographer:
We do have a species of eel that grows in excess of 6 feet and they can be almost black in color. They also happen to eat fish. It is called the conger eel (Conger oceanicus).

Here are some pictures of it I googled.... I suppose it does look sort of like a PO'd MF.... :D

that was what the guess was from one of the other guys on the boat. but he didnt see it, just got the same explination i have you.
and this was seen on a night dive if that matters

Gidds:
I got the POed MF abbreviations, I was merely trying to translate from "macho-malese" to "fishnerdian".
o common now im not like that

hee hee, I meant your buddy who described the fish. Of course Chris posts while I'm looking for a pic. I didn't think congers looked POed or like MFs but maybe after dark... ;)

yeah.
i thing that one of the guys was a little....startled by it
there was a crankin current, and dark, and they wher ein low viz, and inspirations. so they where already stressed a bit.. lol

Great!!.....now I'll have the pic of the po'ed mf fish in the back of my mind next time I do a wreck dive! :11:
