I went with the Proton Metal octo for my wife and I. Not much more in terms of cost, but a far better reg. If your LDS sells the MV and Proton, they can certainly get you the Proton Metal. My LDS won't even stock the MV (for what that's worth....)

Just my two cents...Cheers!

Hi Steve,

I voted MV. If you frequently dive in colder waters, then the Proton Metal is a great choice. Metal is a superior product for cold water enviornments. Having said that, I choose the MV personally because it's low profile, does not have an up or down, left or right. This makes regulator configuration very versatile as well as easy to pass off to another diver.

Best regards,

Thanks guys, Zak I went with the proton metal, as I do most of my diving in Texas a bit more expensive but I have the same second stage on my v32 and I love this reg. I just had never seen the MV before untill latley and it peaked my interest but I figured I beter stick to what I know, lol. Agian thanks everyone.
