"Mr Mares"
scubatoys:Ok, so we're on the net... messages are blasting along lines to heaps of routers that get the coding from the packet of data and decide where it needs to go. The comptuer can look for info addressed to it's IP and ignore others.... Coool technology... Scuba ain't that fancy.
When some air at 145 psi hits the second stage... it is not encoded with a Mares or Sherwood or Apeks signature... it's just some air. The reg won't know, and either will you, as long as they use the same IP, or are adjusted to the same IP.
The only difference would be if you had say an inexpensive - low performance 1st stage, like a non - balanced scubapro, and slapped a high end second stage on it... the chain is only going to be as good as the weakest link... so if you are trying to get a ton of air out of this rig... may have a problem... Say at 150 feet you could air starve the 1st stage...
Aside from something like that - set the IP right, and if it has enough air out put so it can keep up with the depth and air demand - it will be fine. I defy anyone to tell what first stage is on a second in a double blind test...
Contravercial, But Nice
The problem would be, getting it serviced :06: ,
I know not all tech's would say no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But most would :11:
