The mares carbon 42 is very new i know. But i wonder why there new top of the line reg is not nitrox friendly. or is it like most regs being fine for nitrox up to 40%

You might have better luck posting on the Mares section to these forums under Manufacturers. They have two employees who respond to questions very quickly. I'm not sure if they browse all the forums, so I'd try posting there too.

Good question too, I'm looking into the carbon 42 also but didnt consider that it might not use nitrox.

The Carbon 42 is perfectly fine to use with nitrox mixes up to 40%. The literature from Mares is meant to appease the European Union due to their very strict regulations.
