I've been reading about a guy named Adrian who has been doing non diver boat tours to Punta Molas (its an abandoned & almost inaccessible lighthouse with Mayan ruins at the north end of the island). I think it would be awesome to go up there to get some great photos inside the lighthouse and dive the wreck C-53 Xicotencatl. The C-53 Xicotencatl is clearly marked by a bowie and considered an easy but long shore dive if you dont have a boat.

Adrian charges $410 for 4 people for a tour of about 7 hours. Everyone says hes flexible and Ive got an email out to him to see if we can bring our tanks and gear. I'll be looking to do this between 3/4 and 3/9 so If your an experienced and "current" diver and would like to do this send me a PM and we can try to work this out.

Seems that last time I saw it we were near Chankanaab, which isn't exactly the north end.

Adrian owns Especials restaurant. I've heard he will offer a north island snorkel tour on Sundays, a day when the restaurant is closed. I've never gone but sounds like a good time. I don't think that is a dive trip for logistical reasons.
C-53 is in fact near Chankanaab and I cannot picture this being a shore dive. There can be a swift current plus there can be some serious boat traffic in that area at times.

Looks to me like the page author was maybe doing a little copy and paste and picked up C-53 by accident. If you read on down the page, C-53 is listed in the correct location.
Yeah... I'd much rather go to Punta Molas than C-53!!
