Must be... The C53 is in great shape as far as "wrecks" (artificial reef) go..

I thought I'd read that the Felipe Xicotenantl had broken up in a hurricane, but I must be confused. As far as I know the plane has practically disappeared altogether.

I don't think so. It is the 'picture in the wheelhouse window' wreck. I tell you I learned a lot about current while diving that wreck. It was a little strong when we went and it was a LOT of work to go from one end of the C53 to the other.

You know come to think of it, there is another wreck north of town a bit or on the north end of town, I think. I saw some pics and video on a Mexican site. Like out on its own in the middle of a bunch of sand?

I never dove looking for the plane, but I think someone said there might be some unrecognizable sheets of metal or something in the general area still?
