The LP tanks remain negative when empty. They have less of a buoyancy change. I see most of them in cave country and shipping always kills the deal. Will have to start looking on facebook. Surprising that these seem to be a sought after tank but no manufacturer is still producing them

So do most all HP steel cylinders. The main exception being AL80 which is +4 lbs when empty.

The LP tanks ... have less of a buoyancy change.

Buoyancy change has zero do to with anything but capacity. An AL80 will have the same buoyancy change as an HP80, or an LP80.
