Lost Diver in Bonaire within last 24 hours

I would assume the operator made an attempt to locate the diver and notified other SAR resources to assist in the search. It would seem these are your best bet to give you accurate and timely information.

I'm trying to remember the last time I went to that site - seemed like even though it is to the lee side, it is on the open ocean side and and the current could get tricky.

I am directly involved with this incident. This is a current thread, not from 2016. He has been missing since 9/3 around noon from a boat dive off of Sharon’s Serenity off of Klein Bonaire. The Coast Guard has been wonderful - we just want to find him. They have been doing aerial searches since Tuesday, with infrared and radar, but they believe a visual is much more effective. The US Embassy is involved and has been wonderful, the consulate in Bonaire has been wonderful. They are going to do one last recovery dive today, and the aerials will continue for 5 days (total). Please ask anyone in the area to watch for him. Thoughts and prayers much appreciated.

We are presently at Den Laman on Bonaire and noticed a few planes doing search pattern for a missing diver as of yesterday afternoon....as confirmed by dive shop staff this morning...

Does anyone know anymore about the missing diver that has been missing since Tuesday 9/3?

Please post on Bonaire Talk. It is the local board for Bonaire, and many people on it actually live there.There is no mention of the incident there. they can be more helpful than a random inquiry on SB.
