If there's a Tri-State Chapter, can I be in both?

I'm a new diver from Litchfield County, CT. Is this NDI group setup yet? If so I would be interested if I qualify, such as monthly dives, meetings etc. I plan on continuing to dive locally when possible in between southern/tropical dive trips. I'm just interested in meeting NE divers so I can get out and dive.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "set up".

We dive together, occasionally take trips, and post quite a bit, but we don't actually have meetings unless you count occasionally going for a beer.

I've got posting covered, the beer and the occasional diving trip (depending on where and when) sounds real good. Count me in!

Yes, nice to meet fellow CT divers! I used to live in Waterbury (Ugghhhhh!) right next to you. I'm now back in New Milford about 30 - 40 miles away. I'm a newly certified OW, AOW and now Nitrox diver. Aside from my first dive in St. Maarten I've just been diving in Clearwater Quarry in NY with Pan Aqua DS out of Brookfield, CT. Been trying to get in that first "real dive" before the snow hits but has been tough being as I got started diving late in the summer. All the nasty, rainy weather has not helped either. I almost booked a DS trip to Saba, but finances are going to kill that trip I think. Would like to try to sneak in at least 1 or 2 local dives though. At this point I just need the experience and work on getting my trim/buoyancy straightened out. PM me and maybe we can do your reservoir or maybe Dutch Springs or something.

Well gang... it looks like we're officially sanctioned! I was doing a search in a specific category, and on the category list I noticed the "New England Divahs" forum!

The Red Sox let the Yankees beat them? No wonder you've named your forum after operatic prima donnas. Divas indeed.

We have since evolved into Lobstah Divers, even says so on our T-Shirts... maybe Spectre will fix that....
