Looking for knowledgeable opinion on water getting into regs

I assume the Hollis 2nd stage is very similar to Apeks.
If the seat is worn then you should have free flow when pressurized. The venturi is just a plastic flap which has no effect on anything on its own.
As already suggested(#6), pressurized it and check for leak.

Yah, venturi will have absolutely no effect.
Yank that hose, plug the port, and try a soak of the 1st stage. Problem goes away > it's that stage.
But, I'd pressure test it first to test everything for leaks.

If you are getting water all the way back to the HP hose from soaking, that's quite a leak unless your dunk tank is feet deep and you are soaking for hours.
